Why Emergency Contacts Matter
Every year, thousands of road accidents occur where bystanders want to help but don't know who to call. Your Vehicle Safety Tag solves this by providing instant access to your emergency contacts.
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1: Log into Your Dashboard
After purchasing a Vehicle Safety Tag, log into your 95dot account and navigate to the Emergency Info section from the sidebar.
Step 2: Add Emergency Contacts
You can add up to 3 emergency contacts. For each contact, provide:
- Full name
- Phone number with country code
- Relationship (spouse, parent, friend, etc.)
Tip: Choose contacts who are usually available and can act quickly in emergencies.
Step 3: Add Medical Information
This section is optional but highly recommended. You can add:
- Blood Group: Critical for emergency medical treatment
- Medical Conditions: Allergies, chronic conditions, medications
- Insurance Policy Number: Helps in claim processing
Step 4: Configure Notification Preferences
Choose how you want to be notified when your tag is scanned:
- SMS notification
- Push notification (if using the dashboard)
- Email notification
Step 5: Test Your Tag
After setup, scan your own tag to make sure everything works correctly. Check that:
- Your profile loads properly
- Contact buttons work
- Emergency information is visible
Best Practices
1. Keep contacts updated: If someone changes their phone number, update it immediately
2. Choose diverse contacts: Pick contacts in different locations — if one is unreachable, another can respond
3. Review quarterly: Set a reminder to review your emergency info every 3 months
4. Inform your contacts: Let your emergency contacts know they're listed so they're prepared if called
What Scanners See
When someone scans your Vehicle Tag in an emergency, they see:
- A prominent "Emergency Contact" button
- Your blood group and medical conditions (if provided)
- Quick-dial buttons for each emergency contact
- Your vehicle details for identification
The scanner never sees your personal phone number — only the emergency contacts you've chosen to display.
